District Parent Advisory Council
The District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC)
is a group of parent representatives from each Title I campus who serve as the voice of the parent population. It provides a different perspective by bringing to the campus and district an understanding of what parents want as opposed to what educators believe parents want. They are a decision-making body involved in the process of school review, planning and evaluation. They review and evaluate the effectiveness of the District Parent and Family Engagement Policy
. The campus PAC representatives also reviews the campus policy and the parent/teacher compact. In addition, the DPAC members participate in decision-making regarding the improvement of our Title I program, decide how parent involvement funds are spent, assist in preparing strategies to increase parent and family engagement, and bring parent concerns to the committee for discussion.
