Art 1: This course is for seventh or eighth grade students who have not taken Art 1 before. The basic art class develops perceptual skills, drawing skills, and the ability to percieve and create art. Students will experience painting, printmaking, ceramics, weaving and art history.
Advanced Art: This class is for eighth grade students who have completed Art 1 or have a recommendation from another art teacher. Students will continue to develop their art skills working with different media for projects such as murals, mixed media, jewelry, pottery, sculpture, and mosaics. Students will be required to keep a sketch book.
