Dear Parents/Guardians,
My name is James Ortiz. I have been a resident of Copperas Cove since 1973. I grew up, having one of my parents in the military, so I have an idea of what military life can be like. After graduating in 1989 from a private boarding school in San Antonio, I attended Central Texas College for two years, and then I attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, where I graduated in 1994 with a degree in Education and a specialization in English. I have been teaching in Copperas Cove since 1995 and at S.C. Lee since 1999. S.C. Lee is a wonderful school with great teachers and staff. I am very proud to be a part of this team and look forward to working with you in the education of your child.
