Our Maintenance Department worked very hard this summer installing water dispensers so that students and staff across the district could refill their water bottles safely.
Yes. CCISD will require face coverings for all students as long as the executive order from the governor is in effect.
If the order expires or is rescinded, CCISD will highly encourage staff and students to wear face coverings.
While we know this will be a challenge for some students, CCISD staff will educate and remind students to keep their face covering on, along with practicing other safety measures such as hand washing and social distancing.
Students and staff will be allowed to wear face coverings of their choice, provided they are not a distraction and within the dress code.
Campus administration and health services staff will contact family of students who came in close contact with a lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 of additional steps that need to be taken. Contact tracing for lab-confirmed cases will be conducted.
Once parents complete their commitment forms for students August 3-6, campuses will level their classes to the extent possible to ensure students are able to be a far apart as possible. However, we cannot guarantee that students will be six feet apart at all times. As a result, face coverings will be required (encouraged with the absence of an executive order).
