Bond 2024: Proposed Renovation & Expansion at Copperas Cove High School

  • Currently, the high school has 88 exterior doors, which presents safety and security challenges. The expanded, newly-renovated high school would be designed for only three points of entry, making the school more secure

  • The current HS opened in 1974 as a junior high school. Today, CCHS enrollment sits at more than 2,200 students

  • The high school is 29% over-capacity

  • If the bond proposal is passed by the voters, CCHS would add more than 750 additional seats to accommodate the current population and future growth

  • The proposal includes expansion and renovations at Copperas Cove High School, accounting for 89% of the 2024 bond proposal
