Parents, here is a look at this month's school calendar. CCISD staff return Monday, classes will resume Tuesday morning when students return from break.


Happy New Year from Copperas Cove ISD!


Students from the CCJHS National Junior Honor Society recently visited Mae Stevens Early Learning Academy to participate in Literacy Day with Cove's Pre-K students. They read to classes, took part in literacy stations and participated in library activities.

The administration at S.C. Lee Jr. High recently visited the campus' teachers with a Treat Trolley, offering sausage biscuits, donuts and coffee to keep teachers going during a busy stretch.



CCISD held Computer Science Week Dec. 9th-13th as part of Code.org's Hour of Code, showing students that anybody could learn coding. Students learned coding basics and completed daily activities, like graphic design.

Chelsie Schafer from Copperas Cove HS recently received a Capturing Kids Hearts Award of EXCELlence for her quick thinking and fast action when a staff member was in distress.

Our retiring superintendent Dr. Joe Burns was honored in a surprise at last week's Military Affairs Dinner for his years of work in our community, including with Fort Cavazos and military-connected students in Cove.
