COPPERAS COVE – More than 20 students from Copperas Cove High School have earned national academic honors.
Friday, CCISD announced 21 current and former CCHS students were awarded 28 total National Recognitions from the College Board.
These recognitions require a student have taken the PSAT in 10th or 11th grades, earn a 3 or better on at least two distinct AP exams in 9th or 10th grades, have a GPA of at least 3.30 and identify as a first-generation student, minority student or attend a rural or small-town school.
“We have students who are excelling in so many areas, and these Bulldawgs are set up for a life filled with additional success after high school,” said Superintendent Dr. Brent Hawkins. “To earn a National Recognition just cements their place in the cream of the crop, nationwide, and we are incredibly proud of them for this achievement.”
This more than doubles the number of students who earned National Recognitions from the College Board from 2024.
