A group of five student-musicians in Copperas Cove has made history.
For the first time, students from S.C. Lee Jr. High earned spots the TMEA Region 8 All-Region Middle School Jazz Bands.
“We could not be prouder of the hard work these students put in to earn a spot in such a prestigious group,” said S.C. Lee Director of Bands Kenneth Marina. “This accomplishment speaks volumes about the level of talent we have here at S.C. Lee Jr. High and in Copperas Cove ISD.”

“I could not be more proud of each of these students for their historic accomplishment,” said Superintendent Dr. Brent Hawkins. “To excel in multiple areas is a nod to the hard work and dedication each of them and their teachers. I look forward to a bright future on the jazz stage in CCISD, with this as the launching point.”
