Bulldawg families,

Unfortunately we have to share news that no one wanted in regard to opening our campuses. Copperas Cove ISD will remain closed on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. We are working closely with the City as they progress through this issue. We do feel like this relationship affords us the ability to notify you as parents in a timely manner as we navigate through this unknown circumstances.

Please know that everybody in Bulldawg Nation wants to get the doors back open. I can promise you that this setback will be viewed through the lens of time as a great comeback. We will have the year that our students, staff and community deserve. It will make our return even better.

Please continue to think and pray for the crews working around the clock to restore water service to our community. I think it is important to keep those members of our community including those working to restore water in your thoughts and prayers. I know they are stressed, working long hours and very much want to help return normalcy to our community.

As soon as we are able to make a determination regarding the school day on Thursday, we will notify parents and staff directly.
