COPPERAS COVE – Copperas Cove ISD has announced a new opportunity for community engagement in Bulldawg Nation.
Friday, CCISD announced the launch of the Bulldawg Ambassador Program for the 2026-27 school year.
This program is designed to create honest, meaningful conversations between staff, parents and the district about the nuances about school operations.
“We know the mission of our community schools is simple, but the way schools are required to operate are anything but,” said Director of Communications Kurtis Quillin. “Our goal is to have a frank, transparent conversations about decisions that have been made in the district and better understand what the staff needs and community expectations for their schools are.”
This group will meet four times in the evening, each to discuss a different nuance of school operations with district administrators.
“For our schools to continue to be effective, it’s important we explore every possible area for these types of conversations,” said Superintendent Dr. Brent Hawkins. “This isn’t just a goal of mine as Superintendent, it’s a goal the trustees have adopted as part of their joint vision for our district. By engaging in this way, I am confident we can help our community better understand the way our district operates and understand their goals better, shaping our future successes along the way.”
The district will accept applications here through Sept. 3rd and review them. Selected applicants will be notified via email the week of Sept. 8th.
All parents, community members and employees are invited to apply for the program. Any questions should be directed to the communications department at kurtis.quillin@ccisd.com or jessica.korn@ccisd.com.
