As we approach the Thanksgiving break, students created beautiful, heartfelt cards of thanks for the dedicated CCHS faculty and staff. It's a small way to show appreciation for everything they do to support our students, inside and outside the classroom.
We are so proud of our students for recognizing the value of the entire CCHS community! Happy Thanksgiving!

Your card must say Merry Christmas – not Happy Holidays or other variations of the holiday name.

1. What made you decide to pursue School Counseling?
I decided to pursue school counseling because I’ve always had a passion for helping students navigate both academic and personal challenges. While I was a teacher, I saw firsthand how the right support and encouragement can make a difference in a student’s confidence and success. Becoming a school counselor allows me to be that person who helps students find their voice, build resilience, and reach their full potential.
2. What is one of your favorite quotes?
“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” — C.S. Lewis
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference."
—Robert Frost
3. What is one of your hobbies?
Going on adventures specifically hiking. Olympic National Park was by far the best hike yet. I also enjoy reading, plant collecting, and spending time at home with my family.
4. What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is no two days are ever the same and I get to build genuine connections with students. There’s something incredibly rewarding about being that person they can trust. Someone who listens, supports, and celebrates them. Seeing a student open up, grow in confidence, or finally believe in themselves makes every day worth it.
5. Who is one of your heroes/role models?
My mom. She has persevered through every challenge life has thrown her way. She’s always taught me to be the best version of myself, stay humble, and be the voice for others when their voice is weak because sometimes all someone needs is one person to speak up for them until they can find their own strength. Without her wisdom and words of encouragement, I don’t know who I would be today.
6. What is something that makes you smile?
Spending time with my family, watching my kids succeed in life, and seeing both my current and former students flourish and grow into their own person bring me the greatest joy.
7. What is your favorite coping skill for stress?
I have so many favorite coping skills, including grounding exercises in the early morning or late evening, spending time outdoors, disconnecting from the world to go on a hike, journaling, dancing, and enjoying quality time with loved ones.
